LawNet Annual Conference and Awards 2025

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of attending the LawNet Annual Conference and Awards, held at the beautiful Celtic Manor Hotel. The event was a fantastic success from start to finish – from the pre-conference drinks through to an inspiring day of learning, connection, and celebration.

This year’s conference programme featured an impressive line-up of speakers who each brought valuable insights into leadership, performance, and the evolving workplace:

  • Greg Orme, award-winning author, keynote speaker and leadership advisor, explored “Rethinking Leadership: Human Advantage in a Changing World,” encouraging delegates to embrace creativity and adaptability in times of change.
  • Dr Grace Lordan, economist and behavioural scientist at the London School of Economics, delivered “From Busy to Bold: Culture-Building Strategies that Drive Focus and Output,” sharing practical strategies to help firms nurture purposeful, high-performing cultures.
  • James Kerr, storyteller and author of the global bestseller Legacy, drew on lessons from elite teams such as the All Blacks in his session “What High-Performing Teams Do Differently,” showing how to turn potential into impact at every level.

Between sessions, it was wonderful to catch up with clients, LawNet members, and suppliers, and to see so many familiar faces. Our seeded pencils proved a real hit – we look forward to seeing photos of these in bloom over the coming months!

Our crossword and Scrabble competition also went down a treat. Congratulations to our winners:

  • Louise Benning, Blaser Mills
  • Kate Burke, Stepien Lake
  • Rachael Davis-Stollar, Professional Skills Trainer

The evening Awards Dinner provided another great opportunity to network and celebrate achievements across the network. We were proud to sponsor the ESG Award, recognising excellence in environmental, social and governance practices. Congratulations to Cleaver Fulton Rankin, Martin Tolhurst, Mercers and Tozers for being shortlisted, and as Martyn said before announcing the winner, “Being a B Corp business, this award very much resonates with me, and I’m therefore delighted to announce that the winner of the ESG award is…Tozers.”

A huge thank you to LawNet for another brilliantly organised event – inspiring, thought-provoking, and filled with opportunities to connect. We’re already looking forward to next year’s conference!
