Your work from home dream can start here. We are looking for people who share our values and who care about their clients and take a pride in their work. Our best audio typists and document production specialists are self employed and work from home using their own computer and broadband connection. They have a minimum typing speed of 70wpm and can type up 60 minutes of dictation easily within 4 hours. They have advanced word processing skills and can use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. They have a good command of business English and enjoy building a good rapport with our clients. They go the extra mile to make sure that clients’ deadlines are met and only quality work is delivered.
Our best typists have a wealth of experience of working with solicitors, surveyors, IFAs and all professional services and understand legal terminology and layout of court documents and forms. They can use advanced word processing features (eg heading styles, automatic numbering, cross referencing and automatic tables of contents) and enjoy the challenge of working through some lengthy documents from manuscript amendments.
They understand how important it is to deliver top quality work to our clients and to exceed their expectations. In return they enjoy receiving great feedback from the people they help. Document Direct’s clients are hard working international professionals who expect quality support at any time of the day. There is a team of people available 24 hours a day to help our clients.
Some of our best secretaries also have Microsoft Certified Applications Specialist (MCAS) qualification and are experienced in designing PowerPoint slideshows and creating and inputting databases with Excel. Our best secretaries who have MCAS receive a premium rate of pay for this type of work as these skills are highly in demand and often rare to find.
All typists who work with Document Direct are self employed and responsible for their own tax and national insurance contributions and Document Direct cannot guarantee a minimum amount of work and actively encourages typists to seek work from other agencies.
Document Direct’s work for typists is based in the UK. We’re passionate about giving our people the flexible work they want and need. We believe the rates we charge our clients are reasonable and reflect the rate of pay that UK based transcriptionists require.
We require our typists to be available for their chosen hours of work. Please note the available “shift” times below. Our typists are given a user name and password to connect to the Document Direct system during their allotted hours. Our typists choose their preferred times of work to fit with their life style. There is no guarantee from Document Direct, however, that work is available during those allotted hours.
